Are you courageous and want to be part of this event to help support all the efforts Mass Lions Eye Research Foundation (MLERF) puts into eye research?

Register as a plunger for the Lions Polar Plunge.

This is a fun event and to make it even more entertaining COME IN COSTUME. There are prizes for creativity and originality. Go for it and join the amusement and bravery!

There will be free food, a one of a kind plunger T-shirt and most of all the satisfaction you braved the frigid waters of Lake Pearl (around 39 degrees) while raising funds for a great cause.

Sign Up & Take the Plunge!

To make this a GREAT, SUCCESSFUL and FUN event here is what you can do.

GET SPONSORS: family, friends, and business colleagues. Have them sponsor your plunge by making a donation. We encourage all participants to raise at least $100.

SHARE THE LINK to this website and send them a text, email, or use social media to sponsor you and make a donation.

ENCOURAGE SUPPORT, ask them to take pictures and to see you freeze your buns off. Even if they aren’t able to attend the plunge they can certainly sponsor you.

HOW TO GET SPONSORS

Write a letter or email sponsors telling them about the plunge and guiding them to the website. You can send pictures of how you’ll dress and what kind of training you might be doing to get ready for the plunge. Use your imagination… “I’m headed to Florida for a week of sunshine and dips in the ocean. Maybe the temperatures won’t compare to the waters at Lake Pearl in Wrentham, but this is my way to brave the bitter cold.”

AFTER THE EVENT send your supporters a thank you note with a picture of you in the waters of Lake Pearl plunging to prove your success.
