The Norfolk Lions 12th annual Chili Fest – Hoe Down will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at The Norfolk Grange, Rockwood Street, Norfolk. Doors open at 6:00 PM.
What better way to beat the winter doldrums and warm the spirits than with a little chili and square dancing? This year we have 6 great area restaurants competing for bragging rights to Best Chili of 2019: Eagle Brook Saloon, George’s Cafe, Horse N’ Carriage, James’ Roadside Café, Michael’s Deli and defending champion Victory Lane. Sample each chili and then vote for your favorite. The winner will be announced at the end of the evening.
In addition to the chili, dinner includes mac n’ cheese, salad, cornbread and dessert. A cash bar will be available. It’s a great meal and lots of fun for the whole family!
Join caller Rich Sbardella and musicians Max Newman and Julie Metcalf for live entertainment and dancing until 11:00 PM.
Online ticket sales are available at www.norfolkmalions.org. Tickets will be on sale at the Norfolk Public Library on January 16th from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Tickets are $25 each. Seating is limited, so advanced tickets are recommended.
