The Norfolk Lions Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 College Scholarship awards. We had 21 Norfolk applicants from various schools this year and selected 4 winners. All four recipients are from King Philip Regional High School. The winners were selected based on community service, volunteer work and academic performance.
Cole Breen
Cole started an Anti-vaping campaign with the SADD Club and logged over 100 hours volunteering at the American Red Cross during the pandemic. He has completed a substantial amount of volunteering at Stony Brook with the nature hunts and 4 years at the Stony Brook Fair, Literacy Promotion theater, etc. He is #1 in his graduating class.
Joseph Cullen
Joseph was an American Red Cross volunteer during Covid as well as volunteers with TOPs soccer, My Brother's Keeper, the Haunted Train Ride and Friends of the Norfolk Library. He is also a Wrentham & Norfolk Youth Basketball coach
Grayden Lawrence
Grayden completed various community service projects with the Federated Church, Haunted Train Ride, Little League, New Life Furniture and Norfolk Cable TV. He also set up a GoFundMe campaign beginning last April to help local businesses and people in need in the community.
Catherine Spellman
Catherine has been volunteering with various organizations for years, including 10 years with PanMass Challenge; 6 years with Walk to End Alzheimer’s and 12 years with the Haunted Train Ride. She is an active member of the KP Leo Club since 2018 and supports various charitable events with KP Field Hockey and KP Girls Basketball.
