Serving Norfolk! Campaign

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Norfolk Lions created a Serving Norfolk! campaign to thank our Norfolk Fire and Police first responders and to help our local dine-in restaurants who were struggling during the stay-at-home requirements.

The Lions reached out to the community to help raise the monetary funds necessary to purchase $25 gift cards for each member of the Norfolk Police and Fire departments. Norfolk supports its neighbors in good times and bad and our community responded. Due to the strong community support and additional funding by the Norfolk Lions, the campaign generated enough funds to increase the total gift card value to $30 for each recipient.

Each recipient received a Serving Norfolk! Thank You card which contained a list of all community donors, a gift card to either Novatos Bar & Grill, Eagle Brook Saloon or Horse N’ Carriage restaurant and a gift card to Dunkin’.

Lions Dany Rochefort, Kevin Roche and Tara Spellman presented the gift cards to Fire Chief Erron Kinney and Police Lieutenant Bob Shannon along with members of both departments on July 10th at the Norfolk Fire Department on Main St.

Thank you to all who contributed to this campaign. The Norfolk Fire and Police as well as the restaurants were truly grateful for our support.
